|A prolific grinder from East Oakland’s notorious Seminary neighborhood, Philthy Rich uses his conversational flow and knack for snappy wordplay to rap about the hustle. Premiered today by Vibe, “Straight Drop” finds Philthy recruits hustlers from all over the continent to rhyme about how they handle their business over a minor-key instrumental courtesy of Spiffy. Featuring Harlem’s Jim Jones, Detroit’s Icewear Vezzo, and South Florida’s Ball Greezy, who supplies the smooth, southern-fried hook, “Straight Drop” is the latest single to drop from Philthy’s upcoming Hood Rich 4. The Oakland rapper’s third solo full-length of 2016, Philthy Rich hits the internet on November 18th.
