Reggae Artist, Masicka Keeps Private Listening Event For His Upcoming New Album, “438”

Born and raised in Portmore, Jamaica, Masicka is known to make timeless music that creates an authentic vibe. Last week, he kept an exclusive listening event at Quad Studios in New York City, for his upcoming album, 438 that will be released on December 3rd, 2021. It consists of 16 songs and his current single, “Love Story” which was an instant hit!

The project is simply impeccable, absolutely no skips at all! Every kind of tune you can think of, this album got it. From the ladies to the streets, to being motivated this is a versatile project that any and everyone can relate to and vibe out too. This album also shows different sides of his personality and how he used his upbringing to influence his music. Masicka also has features on it from artists such as Dexta Daps and Popcaan.

He tells us the inspiration behind the name of the album, 438;

“I kept seeing the number 438 and knew it wasn’t coincidental. I knew these numbers had to mean something. After doing some research I learned they symbolized, hope, motivation and always pushing yourself and not holding back. While on tour a few years ago the number 438 was always surrounding me whether hotel room, time, something about the number was always appearing.” “

It was difficult for Masicka to decide if he had a favorite record on the project, he ultimately went with “Suicide Note.” A soulful record with a powerful message. After listening to the project it is safe to say this is projected to be one of his best bodies of work released.
