Jackboy Marley Releases The Second Installment to The Jackal Series ‘Jackal Pt. 2: The Ouroboros Effect’

Meet Jackboy Marley, a name that isn’t new to the industry, but one you should start to get familiar with. The Fort Worth, Texas native is a genre-bending artist who is finally starting to gain recognition for his multilayered style that isn’t seen much these days.

While hip-hop is his main genre, Jackboy doesn’t want to box himself into just a single sound, saying that, “I have a wide variety of musical influences, and I like to creatively incorporate them into my music. I never want to be boxed in as a traditional rap artist when there is so much I want to explore, musically!” With a genre-bending style in mind, his voice and sound follow suit. Grabbing inspiration from Queen to Lil Wayne to even fellow Texas MC’s, UGK, Jackboy makes sure his sound can fit over any and all types of instrumentals. WIth even being compared to artists of the caliber of Andre 3000, Busta Rhymes and the late great DMX, just to name a few.

His newest singles, “Let Us Prey” and “How I’m Movin’” really attest to his ability to bend his sound when needed. The former is an aggressive, melodic representation of the nuclear family breakdown; a testament of failed relationships and the pitfalls of maintaining principles as a man when dealing with street-oriented situations. While the latter is an 808 driven track with what one may describe as sheer street bop! With an infectious hook highlighting Marley’s code of personal ethics and streetwise sense of survival, this track proves you can create catchy music with substance and content! Both singles are the first releases off his newest LP titled, ‘Jackal Pt. 2: The Ouroboros Effect’ which is out now and sounds like Pt.1 on steroids. This EP holds 10 tracks and is the second installment in The Jackal EP series and delivers more concise points and perspectives in a more direct manner.

You can stream the EP on all major streaming platforms now and make sure to follow him on social media @jackboymarley
