Introducing TY-44 & His Passion For Music

Meet TY-44, rising artist coming from Florida. We were able to sit down with him and get a closer, in-depth look at him as an artist. With over 200,000 streams on Spotify alone and growing – he’s definitely building momentum with his latest releases. Let’s get right into it!

What is your stage name?

My stage name is TY-44. Comes from my previous basketball number.

Where are you from?

I’m from West Palm Beach, Florida.

What would you say the purpose of your music is?

The purpose in my music is to ensure that everyone is living for themselves. I used to feel my life never belonged to me, music was my way out. My moment of truth. I think now a days people are so focused on the things that will bring them money or fame, or they’re focused on fear of failure. I’m here to show that everyone’s different, you don’t have to let someone try to tell you what to do with your life based on someone else’s limitations.

Everybody’s got their own type of thing going on, what makes your music stand out?

My music has its own vibe to itself. It has some familiar aspects to it that make you think of other artists that I drew inspiration from, but in the end my music has its own sound. Atmospheric, inter-dimensional, unique.

How long have you been in the music industry?

My team and I have been in the industry going on 3 years now.

Who or what was your inspiration to do what you do now?

Travis Scott, Playboy Carti, Pierre Bourne, Lil Yachty, just to list a few.

What are some of your some of your milestones so far?

I dropped an EP called “KAMPFIRE” in 2021 and each song on the tape has over 100,000 streams on Spotify. I also locked in a distribution deal early 2022. I’m happy to announce my birthday project “No Signal” dropping on 7/29 as well.

Where do you see yourself in the future with your artistry?

In the next 3 years, I see my team and I on tour. Somewhere putting on shows in collaboration with bigger artists. Also I’d be modeling shows walking the runway, haha.

Out of all your songs, which one is your favorite and why?

Out of all of my releases, I’d have to say Arnold is my favorite one. It’s so powerful and loud. I think it really fits my personality as an entertainer. With my upcoming project coming around though, I’d have to say “ref44” or “IDC”.

How is your recording process? What’s the ideal vibe?

My recording process is actually really simple. It 100% plays off my mood and the availability of my producers “TK” and “Rtillery”.  They will either send me the beat and I’ll walk in the session with the song done, or they will make it in front of me and I’ll write while they arrange the melody.

What is your dream collaboration?

My dream collaboration in music has to be with Travis Scott or Pierre Bourne. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of “Yeat”, “Ken Carson”, and “SoFaygo”. But in fashion, I’d love to do a collab with the “Playboy” brand.

Anything else we should know about you?

I think the only thing I’d have to say is to look out for my upcoming release “No Signal.” Excited for you guys to hear the first installment of the “OFF-Road” journey.
