Whether they’ve been in the game for years or just now getting their footsteps, every era has generated bangers. Known globally for birthing some huge household names, Dade County’s trail of talent continues to expand. When it comes to producing hot artists stepping out the south, Florida never misses a beat. Some renown artists come as DJ Khaled, Pitbull, T-Pain, Trick Daddy, The Baddest Chick – Trina, Rick Ross, Plies as well as newcomers Kodak Black, Ski Mask The Slump God, YNW Melly, the late XXXtentacion, Tokyo Jetz, Hood Brat, and the City Girls, just to name a few.

Just like the previously mentioned artists, Dade County upcoming emcee, Maine Laveau, proudly represents Dade County and is ready to show the world why he’s the next up.

Born November 7th as Maine Laveau, he lived life in the warm streets of Miami. After loosing his father at the tender age of 3, Maine used his home life that he shared with his siblings and mother, as well as his time spent with peers to guide him. In doing so, he decided to pursue his dreams and continued on the path of music and entertainment.

At the young, creative age of seven, after establishing his own pen game, Maine was writing his own rhymes and went by the name of “Kid Infamous”. Fast forward a year later, at the early age of 8 years old, Laveau started performing as he was musically inspired by some of the South’s favorites like Michael Jackson, Gucci Mane, and Trick Daddy. With that being said, it’s apparent that he has a versatile musical style and a lot of great taste in music.

Keeping faith, Maine mastered the balance of music and sports. Continuously wanting to strive for better, he went on to receive his GED and kept up with his journey in music. Not taking any chance or opportunity for granted on his journey to becoming the next up out of the south, Maine humbly accepts every lost he’s ever had as a sense of gratitude gained. Because of this, Maine dives into his music head on without fear in his heart. Equipped with a young, slick attitude, the Dade County rhymer delivers an effortless cadence over every hard-hitting, trance-like production.

Staying consistent, Maine Laveau releases his brand new visual titled, “Judas”. Shot by Visual Director, Wolf Of WolfStreet Films, the recently released music video opens up at a Black Lives Matter march with someone holding a sign reading, “STAND AGAINST INJUSTICE” before switching scenes between a colorful yet aesthetically pleasing tunnel and Maine behind bars surrounded by posters and signage representing one of today’s biggest injustice in America, the Black Lives Matter movement. Just like the record, the video provides a common ground by speaking on injustice within our community through Hip-Hop.

Fearless with his approach within the music industry, Maine is just as confident and bold with his music as he is an advocate for the BLM Movement.
