
Lucky Church, a well-known media guru, was honored with an honorary Ph.D. from HCU University on September 23rd. The prestigious award is a recognition of Church’s outstanding contributions to the media industry and his exceptional leadership in various media organizations.
Lucky Church, presently the Director of Public Relations at Mungo Creative Group, has been a driving force in the industry. Culture and philanthropy are deeply important to Lucky, and he continues to donate his time and sits on the advisory board for the International Salsa Museum and Shaping Futures Foundation. Additionally, he is the CEO of Lucky Church LLC, a consulting agency based in NYC, and serves as the current brand manager for talents Elliot Carlyle, CEO of CURRENT•LY Global. Lucky is also a consultant for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (C.F.D.A).
Lucky’s journey took a turn in 2015 when he joined Lizzie Grubman Public Relations as the Director of Concierge Services and Client Relations. His partnerships with NFL, NBA, and NYFW allowed him to take LGPR beyond expectations and establish himself as a visionary leader. Lucky’s impact has been featured in Forbes and Black Enterprise magazine, and his work with longtime partner icon Ty Hunter, a designer, author, creative director, and celebrity stylist, has been a huge success. Together, they have orchestrated campaigns for industry giants like Burberry, Showtime, Billy Porter, Hyundai, and VH1, leaving an indelible imprint on the brands they work with.

Church has dedicated his career to media and communication and has been a leading figure in the industry for over two decades. He has worked with several major media organizations and has been instrumental in shaping the industry’s landscape. His expertise and innovative ideas have helped many media companies to grow and succeed in today’s increasingly competitive market.
