Triple threat, LEX is stepping out from the stomping grounds of Long Island, New York. The singer, rapper, and songwriter touches the soul of her fans, both new and old, by utilizing her talents through music. Her soothing vocals paired with relatable, encouraging, and inspiring lyrics make for good music. L.I. songstress, LEX, shares her thoughts, music, and voice to spread love and showcase strength enabling her listeners to be reminded that it’s ok to not be okay, there’s others like you, and that you’re never alone.
LEX’s musical sound is influenced by the likes of Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, and many more. Fusing together the beats and vibe of Punk with a hip-hop cadence showcases that LEX has mastered how to create her own signature sound.
LEX’s most recent release, “After Party” comes as a great follow up single. First things first, don’t let the title fool you, this isn’t some mindless hype track, but a display of raw talent and emotion. It starts with a few simple guitar chords then twenty seconds in, the beat drops and becomes the pulse of the release and makes you bob along. It’s a rallying cry of an entire generation. Though there’s touches of hopeless feelings, you can hear the hunger and determination in LEX’s voice. The rhythmic pacing and tone makes this easy to sing in your room, blare in your car or yell along to at a concert.
The ‘Punk Isn’t Dead’ standout star’s talents alone will take her places. The dedication, hard work, and purpose behind her music will only expedite her musical success as she continues to excel and step outside the box.
