For those who are not aware, Uptown Bronx native, Capella Grey is single handedly changing the game. He produced and mixed a one minute and forty-five second record on his laptop, which is now the biggest summer anthem of 2021 and is currently at the No.71 slot of the Billboard Hot 100.

He now shares the highly anticipated visual to, “Gyalis.” Creating the video treatment himself, it only made sense to rep Uptown the right way. Recorded at the  241st Train Station on White Plains Road in the Bronx, New York, Capella made sure to vibe responsibly.

As a teen, he played many instruments in church like the drums, piano and bass. At an early age he became passionate and intrigued with the art of music. Since then he has been perfecting his craft, reaching new pinnacles and gearing up for this exact moment. His confident swag lets us know he is a force to be reckoned with. Growing up in the mecca of Hip Hop he was inspired to become a musician who creates timeless music and rewarding moments that innovate the culture. One of his main goals is to show the world what Uptown is really made of. The culture, the people, the lingo, the energy is simply unmatched. Throughout the video you can see and feel the dope energy he has with his fans as they sing every lyric, word for word. In the opening clip, he states how he is with some legendary people from his neighborhood. After feeling like Uptown has been overlooked for the past few years the people of the town showed up and out.

Using a sample of Juvenile’s,”Back That Azz Up” Capella effortlessly shook the city with this one! Many are calling it the “Song Of The Summer.”

“I see her, she came with her n***a/ Mmm, but she gon’ slide right to my side, I know, she pulled up with her friends/ Then we skrrt off in the Benz, took her back to my crib and I regret it/ ‘Cause she tryna, fake like she asleep, swear she tried to stay the whole week

I’m like, “Oh, nah, she gotta go,” ask me her name, I swear I don’t even fuckin’ know/ They wanna know why di gyal dem deh pon me? Dem eye green, dem mind just set pon mi?/ They wanna know why dem love him off so much?/ Like, what is the reason?”

Having received key placements from publications like Revolt TV, XXL Mag, Hot New Hip Hop, and many more The Gyalis singer has so much more in store! In the meantime, check out the new music video and vibe responsibly.
