
Rich-P, born Julian Perkins, started rapping when he was only five years old, started recording at eleven and formed a group at thirteen that left him with three CD’s under his belt. His moniker Rich-P, is a slight ode to his father, whom used to bring Rich-P to underground shows to improve his lyrical skills. Being from New York City, people associate their culture as it pertains to the borough they represent. Although it is evident Rich-P breathes Harlem, anyone who knows him on a personal level can attest Queens is his foundation. He spent his early years in South Side, bouncing around to Tennessee, North Carolina, and Atlanta before finally settling in Harlem. Since 2010, his content has been featured on Hot 97, VladTV, 2DopeBoyz, HIPHOPSINCE1987, Genius, and more. He’s been compared by industry professionals and fans to Fabolous, Kanye West, and J.Cole. Rich-P Debuted his mixtape, “The Inauguration”, followed up with “The Oval Office” and “The Assassination circulating the hip hop market. 2018 saw his debut album KIWMP release garnering over 600K streams and up to speed in 2020 he dropped his critically acclaimed sophomore effort Spiritual Levels. From opening for headliners Kendrick Lamar, Khalid, Wale, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Big Sean, and Teyana Taylor, to headlining and selling out his own shows throughout 2017 to now, Rich-P is all in with his brand Strength In Numbers Inc. He aspires to distribute projects from other artist as he solidifies his name in the industry.
Adding to his credentials Rich P was the winner of Hot 97’s Who’s Next performed at Kings Theatre With Khalid and Wale, toured this year With Dizzy Wright for the Smoked Out Conversations Tour in Minnesota, North Dakota and Iowa, featured On MTV Style and MTV’s Sucker Free Freestyle, opened up for Eric B And Rakim, owner of the “You Could Die From This Tour”, headlined And Sold out SOB’s, headlined and Sold Out Nublu, featured Artist on Television show What’s eating Harlem, single “Not Real” has over 1 million Views Collectively Online, featured On Huffington Post’s Show BARS, collectively over 4 million views / streams,first album Kicking It With My Pops peaked at #132 on the ITunes Charts and sophomore album Spiritual Levels Peaked at #60 on ITunes. Rich was on his way.
