Rising star RealmuzikSK teamed up with Alabama-bred singer and rapper Bleu (fka Yung Bleu) on the release of their studded joint EP Up A Level, out everywhere now. Blending their sounds together perfectly, Up A Level is an emotionally raw EP that fuses melodic stylings with hardcore flows. Just months after his recent project In My Feelings, SK is back to let the world hear what Louisiana sounds like.
One track in particular, “Pain,” is a standout single, and brings listeners through a breakup story about betrayal and the heartache surrounding that. The melodic rapper shows his vulnerability through this track setting the tone for the EP. SK then goes into his higher energy anthems, the project is a complete body of art displaying his versatility. Throughout the album, both artists find a synergy and compliment each other’s styles.
SK’s humble upbringing played a huge role in the artist he is today, he drew the emotion from his childhood and poured it into the music. The 3-track EP bridges the gap between SK’s and Yung Bleu’s home states Louisiana and Alabama by creating a melodic masterpiece. Pain, struggle, and genuine emotions are the leading message behind the EP tying in the rappers’ hardships throughout life.
“Hearing my voice on the microphone and through the speakers takes me to a different level, it gives me an unreal feeling and that keeps me inspired to keep going,” RealMuzikSK says.
At the tender age of 13, SK knew he wanted to pursue a career in music, and by having the support from his family he decided to chase his dreams.
“When I dropped out of school at 16, I disappointed my moma all she wanted me to do was graduate. All I ever wanted to do was make music and make my momma proud from doing and through music,” he continued.
RealMuzikSK lived up to his EP title and upped levels by being consigned by a major artist like Yung Bleu. His love for music and being able to pursue his artistry comes full circle throughout this project. Listen to Up A Level by RealMuzikSK and Yung Bleu below.
