Hip-hop love birds Offset and Cardi B have released a new video for their latest collaborative single “Clout.’ The track appeared on Offset’s Father Of 4 album, after becoming the third and final member of the Migos to release a solo album following Takeoff’s The Last Rocket and Quavo’s Huncho, both release last fall. Offset’s album featured many guest stars, the most noteworthy of them being his wife Cardi B, as the two were happily reunited trading bars on the record after going through a public breakup in December. Fast forward, and now the two are flexing together in the new spectacular “Clout” visual.
The Daniel Russell-directed video is bright and vivid, very reminiscent to the late 90s videos of Busta Rhymes and Hype Williams. The Busta Bust-esque inspired pigtails that Offset rocks throughout the video don’t come as a coincidence either. Director Russell captures Offset and Cardi in front of a number eye popping yellow backgrounds keeping your eyes peeled to the screen.
The hip-hop couple is filmed while Offset plays the piano wearing a hockey mask. In another frame Offset is seen using a bright yellow chainsaw to cut a birthday cake before he peels off and does donuts on an nice looking motorcycle. Cardi is dripped in a bright yellow outfit as she raps buried neck deep in a gigantic pile of lemons before the two are seen standing in a room of mirrors making sex faces at each other in different gymnastic positions.
