New Orleans rapper and Cash Money signee Young Greatness was fatally shot early Monday morning (10/29). Young Greatness was best known for his 2015 hit “Moolah,” which was released by Atlanta’s Quality Control Records. Young Greatness approached songs with melody and was inspired by New Orleans’s strong history in music. According to New Orleans police, the shooting happened around 1:35 a.m. at the Waffle House in the 2900 block of Elysian Fields Avenue. Officers found the him dead at the scene with a single gunshot wound. He was 34.
