Vic Mensa has been getting a lot of heat for his BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher on Tuesday night (Oct. 16), where he dissed the late XXXTentacion with lines like, “Only time you bear arms is in a wife beater, loser/Your favorite rapper’s a domestic abuser.” In response to the all the, the Chi-Town rapper a song titled “Empathy,” in which he addressed his own experience rapping about abusing a girlfriend in 2016.
“Got a call from my ex,” he raps. “She forgive but she can’t forget.”
