For many of us who are tuned into to the Hip Hop and R&B Culture we have all grown too familiar with the Love & Hip Hop Franchise. This platform has launched the career’s of many artist like K. Michelle, Cardi B. and more and helped them gain notoriety in the music business. Well Love & Hip Hop decided to make the move to Miami and the 305 did not disappoint. One of it’s standout stars from this past season would have to be Miami’s own Malik Williams (Click Here to Check him out on VH1).
Prior to hitting your TV screen Malik was already established in the entertainment world as a celebrity stylist and personal shopper for Rhianna, Matt Barnes, DJ Khaled, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Timbaland and more. His work as an accomplished celebrity stylist is only the beginning. With the national visibility of VH1’s reality franchise Love & Hip Hop Miami Malik Williams has only scratched the surface of his star-power. Having a voice that is not only centric, cutting edge and full of soul, his up-tempo music is the perfect recipe to keep you dancing and listening to every word. I would describe his sound as a soulful combination of 90’s R&B mixed with Jam-Skate music mixed with Pop. It will definitely give you a feeling of nostalgia if you were born in the 90’s where true R&B/Pop music was the consensus for dance music.

“I have a passion for music, I love music it gives me an excitement I can’t find nowhere else” “Freak Ya” which may sound familiar, a Miami bass 1997 remake of Lathun – Freak it but with a new generation twist and “Motion” a vibe dance track insuring that this person gives a motion in all they do!” Malik explains when asked about his new music releases. With the upcoming release of his two (2) new singles “Freak Ya” and “Motion” Malik Williams is already destined for greatness. He references in his latest sit down with The Daily Flash that Bobby Brown & Usher were some of his musical influences and as we know Bobby Brown is the self pro-claimed Original R&B King.

We will definitely be keeping a lookout for Malik Williams rise to super stardom not only for his contributions to fashion throughout the entertainment world, but also now to put his stamp on the R&B/Pop culture with his music. Malik plans on releasing his debut EP entitled “The Wave” which will give us even more to look forward to in the near future. This is just the beginning for Malik as he has many new ventures on the way, including a new unisex skin care line in the works. With the release of his two (2) new singles Malik will be celebrating throughout Miami the entire weekend. Tonight he will be at Mokai, tomorrow he will be at Beyond Brunch Series at Cafe Iguana’s and Sunday he will be at Brick Miami. Make sure you come and celebrate the release of this new music and definitely be prepared to dance.
