New Video: Raja “Could Be Us”

RAJA “COULD BE US”

Many are dubbing him as, the Indian Drake. His name is Raja, and his new video “Could Be Us” recently premiered on Billboard.com. The pop/hip-hop track is off his upcoming album, “Rebirth.” Currently, Raja is on tour opening for Maino and PNB Rock.
The track was produced by Mantra, who’s known for his catalogue of hits like “Selfish” featuring Future and Rihanna.

ABOUT RAJA

Raja is a lyrical personification of the new hip-hop culture driven by multicultural and international artists.  Raja was born and raised in Long Island, NY and comes from a very traditional, strict and successful family.  They were totally against his pursuit of rap in fact they looked at it as a hobby and urged him to follow a path of education.  After dropping out of college, Raja’s father had a stroke and passed away.  It is then that Rajarealized he indeed needed to go hard.  Although no stranger to professing his love for women and partying, he equally touches on breaking the stereotypes that society determines.

His musical palette ranges from Jay-Z & Tupac to Drake; while his lyrical content and sound is heavily impacted by Kanye West – lyrical, fashionable and fun.  He has never been the normal kid; very full of energy, he says “normal is boring to me.”  His message is simply: no one should be afraid to be themselves and go after their dreams or what they believe in.

In 2015 Raja snagged a feature in the XXL Magazine Rookie Edition and was the headline performer at the NYC Demiurge Awards – a new recognition system for NYC creative’s doing business and giving back to NYC.  With a great year ending, Raja isn’t missing a beat in 2016. He is already on a national tour, performing in the hottest spots from coast to coast. From the ever-popular Supper Club in LA to NYC’s hot spots. He has an EP due with a few industry heavy-hitters, including: The Young OG himself Fabolous plus Producers – Ron Brownz, James Fauntleroy and newly added Super Producers Self & Tree from Self Service and Scott Storch.
